You do have to have an Eye of the North key linked to your account to get access to Secret Lair of the Snowmen for the 2 quests and also the 4 quests
The Three Wise Norn Charr-broiled Plans Wintersday Cheer Snowball Dominance
and the tameable Jingle Bear in Gwen's Garden.

Yay!

I'm looking forward to it. I'm fine with no new content since we finally got some for Halloween this year.

Probably going to spend most of my time farming for a Mini Polar Bear. I've never had a drop that was worth more than 30k in the past four years. I think I'm due for something. >_>

I'm also kind of hoping they would do a PvP/PvE split on the Necro wintersday skill....

There's nothing worse than accidentally hitting the #6 Holiday Blues skill while doing the MPB farm run >_<

Not fair that necros have a useless skill slot

I hope they do this as well! Won't really hold my breath for it, but I do agree that it should be done. Poor Necros

This is just a reminder about Snowball Automated Tournaments. Remember that the same restrictions for guild membership also applies for the Snowball ATs.

Yes, yet again, Proph/Kam get over two weeks for their festival and Factions will get a weekend. Its about time it was evened up - at least give Factions a week....

I'll dabble in a few things, but wont be around much as I know I'll never get a MPB drop and Ive done it all before.

Haha as Agent Oso would say "Its all part of the plan!".

Well plenty of that, but I'm making a extra effort this year to give you all the best Wintersday event guide yet.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but is there a difference in the drop rate of the polar bear in HM vs NM? Can the quest Strength of Snow be done in HM? I know that's basically asking if 0.0002% is better than 0.0001%, but just wondering since I couldn't find an answer anywhere else.

http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Loot...g#Loot_scaling

Basically tomes, rare items, and festival items are immune to loot scaling. As I read it, there would be a big difference in gold and common items, but no difference in the other items NM vs HM.

Meh, nothing new it seems really. I may go for the polar bear. I don't really like Snowball. Dragon arena is my thing.

Well I started farming for the traders at Halloween! I was 60 short of my 14th stack to trade in as of last night.

Ahh the smell of fresh gold in my old chest..which is very bare since outfitting my monk in the Obsidian armor with chaos gloves and the Tormented shield and the Eye of J mini pet running around at my feet. Now for the Obsidian Edge to complete the outfit!!

WOOT
